How to fix a puncture
Equipment
- Tyre repair kit (rasp tool, glue, plugs and an insert needle tool)
- Soapy water
- Find the hole
- Use the rasp tool to make the hole bigger. You do this by pushing the tool into and out of the hole.
- Let out some air so that it is easier to repair
- Insert a plug into the insert needle tool. Make sure that the plug is in the middle of the tool.
- Cover the plug with glue.
- Using the insert needle tool you will insert the plug. You need a lot of force but just enough to get the plug into the tire whilst leaving the ears/ tips of the plug out.
- Check that the plug is not leaking.
