Promoting your personal lifestyle

What is quality of life (lifestyle)

Your quality of life is how happy and sustainable you are. Factors such as financial security , family and social connections, health, free time and safety. All of which are guided by your personal preferences and varies from person to person.

Quality of life is strongly associated with financial factors beyond the basic necessities of food and shelter. More money often means access to greater comfort, freedom from many anxieties, and an optimistic outlook for the future. But if a job leaves you too tired, injured, stressed out, or otherwise unable to enjoy their earnings or if your studies do not produce results you want, you need to find a balance to have a good lifestyle. There is no point to having great achievements if you do not have the time or energy to enjoy them.

If you feel you do not have a good personal lifestyle, then change it up. Promote a healthier lifestyle by putting yourself first and do what you love and need. There is not s set way to do this because everyone is different, but none knows you better than yourself. Think about what you want with your life or even just for the moment and plan accordingly. Start a hobby, practise gratification or meditation, go out with friends, or stay in a read or cook or sleep. The possibilities are endless, and you just need to customise your lifestyle to you.

How to improve your lifestyle

You can improve your lifestyle by balancing your work and personal life, exercise, studies and your health.

  • Discard negative feelings
Rather think about the positives in life rather than the negatives. Encourage your positive emotions because they are better for you than the negative ones.
  • Be grateful
For what you have and the situation you are in. you are probably in a better situation than most. So, reflect on what you have and be grateful because others might not be lucky enough to have it. Even if it is small, be grateful!
  • Learn something new
Make your life interesting and more knowledgeable by learning something new every day. Give yourself a challenge.
  • Stay active
Exercise daily and have a good healthy diet. This has many benefits such as keeping you fit, enables you to maintain the body of your choice and improves not only your physical health but your mental health as well.
  • Rest
Give your body the time it needs to recharge so you are energised and ready to face whatever comes your way. Studies have found that getting adequate sleep can help you live longer, improve your memory, and increase awareness and creativity, so sometimes it is best to put yourself first and have a nap.
  • Be organised
Keep your space and your mind clean. Try to have a good, clean environment which will help clear your mind, broaden your perspective on things and focus on tasks.

During this project it made me realise how everything is connected, even if you are now aware of it. For example, when fixing a tyre, you might encounter physical or emotional stress because you cannot get the nuts off. You might encounter stress if you have not eaten a meal because you have no time because you have to study, which also involves your life skills and coping mechanisms. If you have a blown lightbulb ad you do not have any light you can encounter environmental stress. Everything in this project is connected and that I why I believe these demonstrations are so important to develop yourself in society. Because these simple tasks teach you life skills you need for the rest of your life. The transition between school and university may be hard but it is lessons like this that will make it easier for you😊😊enjoy!!
